Charles Morgan to build rival cars
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Sacked Morgan boss Charles Morgan is to set up new sports car company that he says will rival the 104-year-old British car manufacturer that bears his family name and recently dismissed him. In a report in the Telegraph, Charles is quoted as saying his new company will “build on the innovation and heritage of my grandfather”. The changes also usher in the higher-power 600bhp Speed model, which Bentley predicts will account for two-thirds of GTC sales. It's also the car Bentley denied they'd build when we scooped the GTC Speed last year!The new Continental GTC range will be on display at next week's Detroit 2009 motor show.
Koenigsegg Agera R: Geneva bound
Thu, 20 Jan 2011The first Koenigsegg Agera R - produced for the Oman Royal family This time last year – give or take a week or two – we heard a whisper that Koenigsegg had something new planned for Geneva. A day or two of furtling around and we were able to report a week later that Koenigesegg were indeed taking something new to Geneva – the Koenigsegg Agera. The Agera duly turned up at Geneva in March and the last year has seen a number of orders for Ageras, although so far – to the best of our knowledge – just two Ageras have been delivered.
