Top Gear filming in China for new series

Clarkson & May filming for Top Gear in China Escaping from the furore over his One Show comments, Jeremy Clarkson is in China with James May filming for Top Gear. After all the grief over his One Show comments (which, although a bit OTT, were actually not his views but an attempt to humorously demonstrate the BBC’s obsession with ‘balance’), Jeremy Clarkson has decamped to China – together with James May – to film for an episode of the new series of Top Gear. It looks like the piece they’re filming revolves around Chinese car clones, with the Shuanghuan Noble (Smart), Shuanghuan CEO (X5) and the Chinese version of MINI – the Lifan 320.

WITH the winter weather already resulting in plunging temperatures, Mercedes is reminding us that it’s time to switch to winter tyres. Although still a rare thing in the UK compared to other European countries, manufacturers and tyre companies are hoping that UK motorists will eventually embrace cold weather tyre technology. GM's next eco-concept car

The concept will feature radical styling, with a diesel engine acting as a generator for the concept’s electric motor. And General Motors is believed to be collaborating with urban electric scooter manufacturer Segway; the unnamed concept may be able to carry one or more of the £4000, gyroscope-controlled devices for use in town once you’ve parked.A new type of plug-in hybrid, the E-Flex platform made its debut at the 2007 Detroit Motor Show in the Chevy Volt concept car.
