New 2014 Nissan Qashqai revealed in pictures
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The new 2014 Nissan Qashqai was unveiled in London on Thursday - giving us the first glance at what will surely become one of the most popular family cars of 2014. Already a perennial favourite with British buyers, the second-generation Qashqai follows a similar recipe to its 2007 predecessor. The new Qashqai remains a chunky crossover, mixing the best bits of a tall SUV with the creature comforts of a family hatch.
Audi Sport Quattro Concept arrives on video
Tue, 29 Oct 2013It does seem almost a certainty that Audi are planning on building a production version of the Audi Sport Quattro concept we saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month. After all, Audi has already had one stab at a high-end recreation of the iconic quattro in 2010, turned up at Frankfurt with a second, more powerful, version and has now got that version running around on video to celebrate 100,000 Facebook Likes. If Audi are going to build the Sport Quattro it’s almost certainly going to be a limited edition run at a price that eclipses even the current range-topping Audi R8 V10 Plus.
Bahrain Grand Prix Cancelled – revealed on Twitter
Mon, 21 Feb 20112011 Bahrain Grand Prix Cancelled Bernie Ecclestone said the cancellation or not of this season’s F1 opener in Bahrain would be down to Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who was in the best place to judge. But it was actually the Bahrain State’s Information Affairs Authority who made the announcement this afternoon that this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix – due to be staged at the Bahrain International Circuit on March 13th – would not go ahead. The announcement said that “Bahrain’s priority is on overcoming tragedy, healing divisions, and rediscovering the fabric that draws this country together.” Which seems a great deal more important than a bunch of rich guys driving round in circles for the world’s entertainment.
