Interior Motives Design Awards 2012

At a glamorous awards ceremony at the Espace Clacquesin in Paris earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together to watch sponsors Peugeot and Volkswagen reveal the 2012 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Autopool' by Siavash Jafari Jozani and Mina Kasirifar from the University of Tehran. At the end of what was a memorable event, the two Iranian students walked away with one of the most prestigious accolades in the automotive design industry and a cash prize of $5,000. 2014 Mercedes S Class REVEALED

There’s not a huge more to say about the new S Class than we already have, but it does look convincing. It takes styling cues from many of Mercedes latest models, but even without the big bulbous wheel arches at the back it’s still very recognisable as an S Class – just a new one. We already know much about what ‘s likely to be on offer at first – S350, S400 and S500 – and what’s to come – S250, S63 AMG, S Class Pullman – and that we’ll see, in due course, both an S Class Coupe and a convertible S Class.

2012 Honda Civic faces limited recall for possible fuel leak

Honda is recalling 1,156 copies of the redesigned 2012 Civic because of a potential fuel leak. A mechanical seal in the fuel line on some vehicles was misplaced during assembly, leaving a gap where two segments of pipe attach and allowing for the potential of leakage. No injuries or fires have been reported in relation to the glitch, and most of the affected vehicles are still in inventory and will be fixed before going up for sale.
