A set of Chevy big block heads dated 1972 casting number 353049. These were originally owned by a family friends father whom passed away before he could complete his big block project, they have been sitting on a shelf in his shop for years, from what I can see and what one of the surviving members thinks the valves were in the process of being replaced and most of them look like they had not seen running use, unfortunately these sat for years and now show corrosion spots on the new vales as well as missing parts rocker arms and a valve or two. These will clearly need a tear down now and hot tank magnaflux job as well as a shave I would guess. Not sure if any of the attached parts are salvagable, the rockers and springs may have been new as well but they show corrosion from time on the shelf now. Plug holes all look to have clean threading. See photos and further details below in the description box.

These will will ship either Greyhound or UPS ground in two parcels. Weighing in at approx 69lbs each, I estimate a packaged weight of approx 76lbs greyhound is generally cheaper and you can use the weight and dimensions in the photos to get an approx price from the greyhound express site. Enter the closest station to your location and enter Salem Oregon on my end of the shipment. You will have to provide me a contact phone number if you opt for Greyhound, and you must be able to go down and pick them up once greyhound calls you when they arrive at your local station. Generally less expensive than UPS ground though. You will only pay the cost of one of the heads shipping, I will pay the cost on the second head to keep things simplified on the payment end of things. photo P1680141_zps5d6qdjit.jpg photo P1680142_zpssngssdwx.jpg photo P1680143_zpsrxz0uxgn.jpg photo P1680144_zpstxiyl67c.jpg photo P1680145_zps7me8jwvj.jpg photo P1680146_zps2zl728po.jpg photo P1680147_zpslhf2glxz.jpg photo P1680148_zpsfuliiug4.jpg photo P1680149_zpsk5eflncy.jpg photo P1680150_zpsbrzdkuzw.jpg photo P1680151_zpsi6aorvhk.jpg photo P1680152_zpspldm7zgm.jpg photo P1680153_zpstnwwr4ia.jpg photo P1680155_zpsikpacqfb.jpg photo P1680156_zps0qwlnwzi.jpg photo P1680157_zpsfqg0bh7c.jpg photo P1680158_zpsdepeucym.jpg photo P1680162_zpsdx8tvdkk.jpg photo P1680164_zps1otusr7t.jpg photo P1680166_zpspl75jmtq.jpg photo P1680167_zpskilina3t.jpg photo P1680168_zpsmzem2ase.jpg photo P1680172_zpsbe1fnxuj.jpg photo P1680174_zpss56zaudt.jpg photo P1680178_zps96nbjgzh.jpg

Concept Car of the Week: Buick Wildcat (1985)

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

Before the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas became the capital of obnoxious extravagance, car manufacturers and suppliers saw it as an opportunity to exhibit their latest innovations, giving the public an exciting insight into the future of automobiles. This is when, in 1985, Buick unveiled the totally unexpected Wildcat concept, which broke radically with the brand's stodgy image. Proportionally, the weight is placed forward, with a thin and low tail.

Skoda Superb Estate – UK details

The Skoda Superb Estate We got the launch of the Skoda Superb Estate at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September, a month or so after Skoda did the usual tease with the Superb Estate. As we said at the time, it makes you wonder why people buy more expensive ‘Prestige’ estates when the Superb offers so much. I guess it’s just badge-snobbery.
