Condition:Used Brand:All Cars with Running Boards Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Surface Finish:Black Paint

I found these two folding racks in a barn in Michigan. They are meant to clamp to the running board of any vehicle with that style fenders. They would look great on a restored car or a Hot Rod or       Rat Rod. Adjustable and expandable they scissor out to as much as six feet wide. One is marked with a decal, Kittle Luggage rack.  There are two accessory arms with webbed straps. I don't know which rack they go to. Please check photos for condition. I have not tried to clean them at all. They are very dirty and oily. One has a slightly bent slat and needs a rivet. One of the clamps is missing a pad. Looks like a good bath in a parts cleaner and some penetrating oil would get them into working shape. They are all steel construction and fairly heavy.   I will box and ship after the PayPal transaction clears. Thanks for looking.

Tesla opens its patents for everyone to share EV knowledge

By Michael Karkafiris Motor Industry 13 June 2014 10:43 Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors and one of the most talked-about personalities in the automotive industry, announced today that his company has opened all of its patents to make way for the competition to catch up and promote electric mobility for a wider audience. Open-sourcing your patents is a rather unusual strategy in the automotive world but Musk says that ‘Tesla Motors was created to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport. If we clear a path to the creation of compelling electric vehicles, but then lay intellectual property landmines behind us to inhibit others, we are acting in a manner contrary to that goal.
