Cadillac ATS to get turbo power
Wed, 14 Dec 2011Cadillac has given us a sneak peek at the engine lineup that will power the 2013 ATS sedan set to bow in January at the Detroit auto show. The spotlight powerplant is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 270 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. It uses a twin-scroll setup for a broad torque range.

It had dominated almost every single race of the United States Road Racing Championship for the past three years, defeating its archrival Corvette at every turn. Two Cobras had been entered in the 1963 Le Mans; one did not finish, but the entry entered by AC Cars, with Stirling Moss running the team, placed sixth overall.

And Lamborghini are wasting no time whetting appetites for the Gallardo, with a new website launched to tease its replacement, complete with a ‘start’ button to hear the new V10 roar and instructions to “Listen to your instinct – Discover the roar of the new creature from Lamborghini”. That replacement is probably going to be called the Lamborghini Cabrera, which we’ve been expecting to debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
