Manufacturer Description:

Often you will hear a racer say, “I made two jet changes, but the engine still didn’t run properly.” The reason for this relates directly to the jets being used. Other jets are mass-produced with a wide tolerance, then plated. Many of these jets use the same orifice size with the only difference being different angle tapers that supposedly change the flow-rate characteris-tics. Other jets also use a slot that requires a special, expensive tool to install. Ultimately, these slots become damaged, and that damage creates a turbulence that severely affects the fuel flow by as much as 50 percent.

MaxJet™ Precision Carb Jets are available from 0.050" to 0.120" in gas-oline jets and from 0.121" to 0.140" in alcohol jets. Sizes are in 0.001" increments and are compatible with all known racing fuels. MaxJet™ Pre-cision Carb Jets are easily matched to Holley jets; simply find the Holley size that you are currently using on the left and cross over to the MaxJet™ column to find the corresponding part number.

Porsche 911 GT3 new engine production starts April 22nd 2014

Sun, 13 Apr 2014

The new engines for the Porsche 911 GT3 (pictured) start production this month The recall for the Porsche 911 GT3 after a couple of fires forced Porsche to evaluate the cause – and stop further production – now looks to have not only been resolved, but a fix is soon to be available. But Porsche is taking no chances with any sort of sticking plaster fix and is instead building new engines for the 911 GT3, with optimized piston rod screw connection – the cause of the problem – to make sure nothing goes wrong again. Porsche are planning to start production of the revised engine on 22nd April and will be despatching engines out to dealers shortly thereafter for them to fit to the affected cars.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster arrives with 565bhp – the quickest Aston Roadster ever

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster arrives The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S – revealed in 2013 – has lost its roof and turned in to the quickest open-top car Aston Martin has ever produced. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster gets the same 5.9 litre V12 as the tin-top model, which means a 0-60mph of 3.9 seconds (0-62mph 4.1s) and a top speed of 201mph, both figures just below the coupe but enough to make this the fastest production Aston Roadster ever. The V12 engine also offers delicious lumps of torque, with 457lb/ft – and most of that available almost from tickover – all delivered to the back wheels through the Graziano 7-speed automated manual ‘box.
