Manufacturer Description:

Often you will hear a racer say, “I made two jet changes, but the engine still didn’t run properly.” The reason for this relates directly to the jets being used. Other jets are mass-produced with a wide tolerance, then plated. Many of these jets use the same orifice size with the only difference being different angle tapers that supposedly change the flow-rate characteris-tics. Other jets also use a slot that requires a special, expensive tool to install. Ultimately, these slots become damaged, and that damage creates a turbulence that severely affects the fuel flow by as much as 50 percent.

MaxJet™ Precision Carb Jets are available from 0.050" to 0.120" in gas-oline jets and from 0.121" to 0.140" in alcohol jets. Sizes are in 0.001" increments and are compatible with all known racing fuels. MaxJet™ Pre-cision Carb Jets are easily matched to Holley jets; simply find the Holley size that you are currently using on the left and cross over to the MaxJet™ column to find the corresponding part number.

BMW 1- and 3-series coupes to become 2- and 4-series

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

BMW is shaking up its badging strategy and will turn the next-gen 1-series and 3-series sporting derivatives into the 2-series and 4-series. Two-door Ones and Threes - the coupes and convertibles - will in future be rebadged as the BMW 2-series and BMW 4-series. Why exactly are they rebadging BMWs as 2-series and 4-series?

2015 Subaru WRX debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

If you loved the rakish WRX concept that bowed in New York earlier this year, the production 2015 WRX, which debuted today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, may be a slight downer: decidedly less boy-racer than its predecessors, its sculpted fender flares and unique sheetmetal only slightly disguise its Impreza rootstock. But the WRX has always been more about performance than style, anyway, and Subaru says the new car will top its predecessor on that front. The '14 WRX's 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer-four squeezes out 268 hp and 258 lb-ft -- just a little bit more than the outgoing 2.5-liter turbo-equipped car.

McLaren MP4-12C GT3 confirmed

Fri, 17 Dec 2010

McLaren MP4-12C GT3 - going racing in 2012 We have been expecting McLaren to confirm that they are going racing with the McLaren MP4-12C. It would be unthinkable for McLaren not to take their new baby to the track but we’d had no confirmation. We had seen the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 out testing last month so we knew an announcement was likely to be imminent, and so it is.
