We’re now getting close to the first major European Motor Show of the year – some would say the most important motor show of the lot – the Geneva Motor Show which kicks off for the press on 2nd March and runs until 14th March. 911 GT3 recall update: Porsche reportedly replacing all engines

Porsche recalled all 785 2014 GT3s on the road last month for an unexplained problem that could cause the engine to catch fire. The company told owners to stop driving the cars immediately. Two vehicles in Europe caught fire after engine damage occurred.

BMW recalls 30,000 X5s to fix brake problem

BMW said Friday it is recalling more than 30,000 eight-cylinder X5 SUVs built between 2007 and 2010 due to a potential power assist braking malfunction. In a statement to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, BMW noted that a small amount of lubricating oil could leak into the vacuum hose that connects the vacuum pump and the brake booster. This leak could cause power-assist braking to malfunction.
