Toyota recalls Lexus cars for fuel-system fixes
Wed, 26 Jan 2011Toyota Motor Corp., struggling to restore its reputation for top quality, on Wednesday recalled nearly 1.7 million vehicles globally for a variety of fuel system related problems, including 245,000 Lexus IS and Lexus GS sedans in the United States. The North American vehicles are being called back to inspect for possibly faulty installation of fuel pressure sensors. In cases where the sensor is not fastened tightly enough, fuel can leak between the gasket that connects the sensor to the fuel delivery pipes, Toyota said.
Mercedes-Benz Business-Limousine by BINZ offers stealth and value
Wed, 16 Oct 2013While the Mercedes-Benz S-class XL, the Maybach 62 replacement rumored to use the name Pullman, is still a few months and a couple hundred thousand dollars away, there are other options out there for getting work done on the road to the office. While Brabus wowed crowds at the Frankfurt motor show just a couple months ago with its mental Biturbo iBusiness sedan based on the newest S-class, at the end of the day we weren't sure if that was a car for the rear-seat passenger or the driver. German coachbuilder BINZ GmbH has made a name for itself over the last few decades building Mercedes-Benz-based ambulances and unbelievably cool security cars based on the G-class, and the company also happens to offer a number of options when it comes to limousines.
Dramatic design on tap for next-generation model
Mon, 15 Jun 2009Jaguar’s next-generation XJ luxury sedan will incorporate design features from the C-XF concept first shown at Detroit, AutoWeek has learned. Although prototypes captured by spy photographers are disguised with BMW-style grilles, the face of the new 2010 XJ will feature Jag’s gaping square grille and a curvaceous body with a rakish, coupelike rear window. The final XJ incorporates slim headlights with double-projector lenses that are very close in design to those revealed on the dramatic C-XF shown at the 2007 North American International Auto Show.
