Dayton, Ohio, US
Please don't confuse these with the many low-quality thinly chrome plated bullet mirrors on the market today.
You are purchasing 2 new TEX (made in England) polished stainless steel bullet mirrors appropriate for many sports cars:
MGA, MGB, MGBGT, MG Midget, Austin Healey 100-4, 100-6, 3000, Sprite, Aston Martin, Elva, Lotus, TVR, Porsche 356, 912, 911, 914, BMW 2002, 1600, Jensen Healey/Interceptor, Morris Minor, MG 1100, America, Shelby, Cobra, vintage race and rally cars, Sunbeam Alpine, Tiger, Imp, Hillman, Triumph TR2, TR3, TR4, TR250, Spitfire, GT6, Alfa Romeo, Guilettia, Guila, 2000, GTV, Fiat 124, 850, 1600, 2000, Abarth, Lotus Elite, Elan, Europa and others.
These are a current reproduction of the classic bullet/torpedo racing mirror of the 1960's and 70's.
TEX is an English mirror manufacturer from that time period for original-equipment and racing mirrors that were used on most British cars and other makes.
These are extremely high-quality polished stainless steel mirrors with the rubber gasket and mounting hardware. They are flat glass mirrors 4" in outside diameter of the mirror head, the exposed part of the glass is 3 3/8". They can be used on the door or fender depending on the car. They are polished to a chrome-like finish but being stainless steel they won't rust or flake. Nice.
Note: If you are replacing an existing mirror/mirrors on your car you need to check the mirror base dimensions below to see if this mirror will fit in or cover your existing holes. Rarely are 2 mirror bases the same size.
The mounting holes are 2" on center. The base is 3.75" long and 1 1/8" at its widest (center). The base is a chrome-plated casting. The bolts mount from the bottom.
Made in England and marked so on the mirror (see photo). These are fresh new and perfect.
They are absolutely beautiful additions to any period sports car. You won't be disappointed in the quality.
We also now have a separate listing for a single mirror if you want just one.
Please see our other listings for more NOS, new and one of a kind parts.
Thanks.
