Telescoping Transom Boat Ladder Image Gallery The telescoping boat ladder makes boarding from the water a much easier process. The boarding transom ladders are made of durable stainless steel that hold weight in the vertical position, a typical problem with rope ladders that flex and pinch toes and fingers when weight is applied. The telescoping boat ladder is long enough to prevent swimmers from having to make an uncomfortable reach when boarding, unlike one step ladders. The two-step ladders extend from 12" – 22" while the three-step ladders adjust from 15" – 33 1/4". The ladder comes attached to a fiberglass platform that helps swimmers board after a quick dip. When not in use, the ladder compacts to 15" and flips out of the water and onto the platform. The transom ladder and platform combo mounts to the back of a vessel with stainless steel rails. This system can be mounted with both handrails, or the alternative of one side rail. Extra stainless steel hardware is provided and consists of a 90° bracket and an angled brace that stabilizes the platform to the boat. Each step is wrapped with treaded rubber that gives traction to those entering and exiting the marine vessel. Hardware is included and drilling is required for installation.
