Mark Webber quits Red Bull F1 for Porsche (2013)

Porsche has confirmed it’s poached Formula One driver Mark Webber from Red Bull Racing to race for it at the 2014 Le Mans 24hrs. The 36 year-old Australian has signed a multiple-year contract to drive Porsche’s new LMP1 challenger, which is aiming to give Audi a bloody nose in the world’s most famous endurance event next year. Nissan Juke-R - finally finished Nissan certainly milked the creation of the Nissan Juke-R for all it was worth. There were endless teases and photos – and even a video or three – some of which we covered, and some of which we didn’t, as it all got a wee bit tedious. But Nissan has finished their test-tube creation of a sub-compact SUV with the heart and soul of Godzilla, and has sent us a nice little video and a set of photos of the Juke-R looking menacing and purposeful in black.

2011 EyesOn Design Awards

The 2011 EyesOn Design Awards, held at the NAIAS in Detroit last week, commemorated the late Chuck Jordan, a Founding Chairman of the annual EyesOn Design event, which celebrates its 25th recurrence this summer. Dr. Philip Hessburg, President of the Detroit Institute of Ophalmology – a non-profit internationally recognized organization that presents the awards every year – opened the ceremony by stating that Jordan was the "unwavering internal advocate" at GM.
