The SCOUT PA3C is a
UV inhibited strong Two way ratchet mount for marine antennas. This mount can
be used with Scout Antenna’s or any other brand as they are all universal in
size and fit with a 1”/14 threading with a base plate size of 4 inch x 2.5 inch
with screw holes on each of the four
corners. It will allow you to adjust the position of the antenna and secure it
in the position you want. Mount is intended for deck or side mounting in all
outdoor applications including marine boats, RV’s, and campers. The action to
loosen and tighten the ratchet is quick and positive. Just like all our
products, this is the highest quality materials hand made in our second
generation family owned factory located in Installation of mount instructions: Place mount in desired location, mark with pencil where to drill holes. If drilling in gel coat, use in reverse until you pass the gel coat to prevent chipping and use a vacuum as you’re drilling. Screw in place with a small dab of silicone. Wiring Installation instructions: mount antenna and trim cable if desired. Slice the outer rubber sleeve about 1 inch from the tip of the cable. Pull down the high quality tinned copper braid shielding found inside. slice the plastic sleeve ½ inch from the tip to expose the copper core ½ inches. Screw in the PL 259 or generic RG 58 male connector. The copper core must be trimmed at the tip and soldered to the RG58 connector to guarantee a good connection and function. While previous years usually featured about 400 or so cars, the 2010 running of the renamed Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, managed now by SCRAMP, will feature 520 vintage entries. Leading the pack is what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime collection of 35 cars either designed, built or raced by the great Dan Gurney, this year's honoree.
