Saturn has proven to be one of the longest lasting, most durable marine ropes available, increasing residual strength as much as 15-20% when compared with other HMPE lines and their conventional coatings. Its proprietary coating improves abrasion resistance and has been enhanced for greater UV resistance. In addition, Saturn is now made with Dyneema® SK78 fiber, the next generation in HMPE fiber technology. SK78 provides improved service life in applications where creep results from long-term static loads. This torque-free, flexible, and easy-to-handle construction is easy to inspect and splice in the field.

The only vehicles to rank higher were the all-electric 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV with a combined MPGe of 112, and the 2012 Ford Focus EV with 110 MPGe.

Video: Opel Insignia

Sat, 19 Apr 2008

After months of teaser photos, GM's Opel division has finally taken the wraps off its new Insignia sedan. Featuring a flowing design demarcated by a coupé-like roofline, the body is accented by a distinctive 'blade' feature line that runs from behind the front wheel along the side of the car, emphasizing its taut, rakish lines. "We've re-defined our design vocabulary," says Mark Adams, Vice President Design, GM Europe.

Lamborghini Egoista revealed at Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary celebrations UPDATED

Sun, 12 May 2013

The Lamborghini Egoista (which translate as the Lamborghini ‘Selfish’) gets its name because it is designed as a single seater, purely for the pleasure of the driver. Designed by Walter De Silva, the Egoista sports dramatic styling that is said to be inspired by the Apache helicopter (and isn’t entirely successful – the Apache looks better) and extensively uses carbon fibre with a canopy that can be removed for real single-seat fresh air thrills. Power comes from the Gallardo’s 5.2 litre V10, although so far all Lamborghini has done is release a single photo of the Egoista (above), so we don’t yet know whether the Egoista will be a one-off special like the Aventador J, a short run at silly prices like the Veneno or just a concept that will never see the light of day again.
