Hyundai wins Red Dot design award for New Genesis & New i10
Mon, 24 Mar 2014The Hyundai Genesis (left) and Hyundai i10 have won the Red Dot design Award Oh, how things change. It’s not long since Hyundai’s USP was the cheapness of its cars, but those days are now gone; Hyundai now competes head to head with mainstream makers as the strength of its products improves with every new model and its designs make Hyundai appealing without resorting to bargain basement headline prices. That has been perfectly illustrated with the Red Dot Design awards for both the new Genesis and the new Generation i10, both of which have received the Red Dot Design award – a first for Hyundai.
Skoda Adds Rapid Spaceback And Yeti To Motability Scheme
Thu, 13 Feb 2014THE WAIT is over and Czech car maker Skoda has added its two newest models to the Motability Scheme. Both the all-new Rapid Spaceback and the facelifted Yeti crossover are accessible through the programme to individuals receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance. Key to the cars appeal will be the high levels of practicality and interior space available from both models, coupled with a nil Advance Payment on selected variants.
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
Tue, 09 Jan 2007By Ben Oliver Motor Shows 09 January 2007 05:53 Drophead Coupe makes waves in Detroit CAR Online brought you the first pictures of the new open-top Phantom and exclusive video footage last month, but this £260,000 monster still stole the Detroit show when Rolls-Royce chairman Ian Robertson officially unveiled it in what will be by far its biggest market. The 100EX concept on which the production car is based stole the 2004 Geneva show too, and features which we all thought would only be seen on the concept, such as the teak ‘decking’ on the hood cover and the rear-hinged suicide doors, have made it to the finished car. Production starts at Goodwood this summer.
