The all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla debuted last week with a fresh look, confirming that the Furia concept Toyota brought to the Detroit auto show was more than just an exercise in styling. The Furia concept's sporty and flashy design intrigued us, and while the 2014 Corolla is an upgrade from the bland Corollas of the past, it also glosses over most of the flair of the Furia. So, what hints did Toyota reveal with the Furia concept, and what got cut on the design-room floor?

Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg (pictured) celebrate their front row at the British Grand Prix Mercedes may have turned in some stunning qualifying laps this year (although their race performance hasn’t really matched up) but Hamilton’s pole at the 2013 British Grand Prix was a stunner – almost half a second (0.452s) ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg. The pole for Hamilton – his first since the Chinese Grand Prix – was a corker (as was Rosberg’s, to be fair) and left the Red Bulls relegated to the second row with Vettel in third and the newly ‘retired’ Mark Webber in fourth. But whether the stunning lap by Hamilton presages an impossible task for Red Bull tomorrow, we’ll have to wait and see.

Dodge Durango Special Service police vehicle released, orders now open

Dodge has added another vehicle to the list of cars drivers should keep an eye out for if they're speeding, the Dodge Durango Special Service. Available for police, fire and “general fleet” customers, the Chrysler Group said it would begin taking orders now, with delivery expected in the second quarter of this year. “We're incredibly excited to add the Dodge Durango Special Service to our lineup of law-enforcement vehicles,” Peter Grady, Chrysler Group vice president of network development and fleet operations, said in a release.
