Ford Grand C-Max at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 15 September 2009 09:00 Ford showed off the seven-seat Grand C-Max at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show - marking the first time the Blue Oval has nudged into the territory hogged by Renault (Grand Scenic) and Vauxhall (Zafira). The new Ford Grand C-Max has sliding doors, another first for the Blue Oval in this segment, to help passengers climbing into the two rows of rear seats. No more excuses for dinged door panels in car parks!

Nissan Altima recalled over steering and suspension bolt problem

Nissan is recalling 13,919 copies of the Altima sedan from the 2012-2013 model years to fix improperly installed bolts on steering and suspension components. The recall covers Altimas built May 10 through July 26. According to a National Highway Transportation Safety Administration report, power steering-rack bolts and transverse link bolts on the Altima may not have been torqued to proper specification.

A look at future Cadillacs

Cadillac revealed another take on a future large, rear-wheel-drive car during the Pebble Beach weekend—the ultra-cool Elmiraj four-seater coupe. This is Cadillac's second such concept in a couple years, after it showed the Ciel convertible at Pebble in 2011. Yet we hear that the first production car to ride on the so-called Omega platform will be a sedan scheduled to arrive in 2015 as a 2016 model.
