Porsche BlueSport back on – but we knew that
Thu, 28 Jan 2010It looks like the baby Boxster - the Porsche BlueSport - is in the planning. Last year it was a case of ‘Spot the BlueSport’ as rumours ran wild over which parts of the VW Group (what happened to re-naming it Auto Union – another of last year’s rumours?) would run with the ‘Baby Roadster’ platform VW had developed. Well it finally looks as if the rumours are starting to become substance.
Ferrari F70 (new Enzo) to get 920bhp
Sat, 18 Feb 2012The new Enzo Ferrari - the Ferrari F70 - will get 920bhp It’s reported that the replacement for the Enzo Ferrari – the Ferrari F70 – will get a V12 with KERS delivering 920bhp. Georg Kacher is a man many of us grew up reading in CAR Magazine, a man who made the monthly cost of the mag a bargain all on his own (well, with LJK). So when Georg Kacher tells us that the new Ferrari F70 will have a V12 with 800bhp and a KERS package with an electric motor adding a further 120bhp, we believe him.
Fiat Qubo gets eco:Drive
Tue, 14 Jul 2009the Fiat Qubo is now being fitted with eco:Drive - Fiat's economy driving monitor But as all things ‘Eco’ are the name of the game at the moment (which we’re all in favour of – just don’t use ‘Man-Made Climate Change’ as the reason) Fiat are bolting on their eco:Drive system to the Qubo – but don’t worry it will shove the price up if you’re thinking of getting one – it’s a freebie. The Fiat eco-Drive started out with a launch on the Fiat 500 earlier in the year, and is now available on not just the 500, but the Grand Punto and the Bravo. Basically, it’s a USB stick that you plug in to the car which can then be read by software to tell you how badly you’re driving.
