The Marine One Plus Fabric was developed to retain its color and strength in severe outdoor exposure but still give you a beautiful appearance.  The fabric solves the sagging, wetting and extreme heat problems associated with acrylics and polyester fabrics.  The Marine One Plus fabric is made from solution dyed yarns and offers superior color consistency, excellent light fast characteristics and is bleach cleanable.  Marine One Plus has a special finish which allows it to protect against heavy rain and a light urethane coating on the back of the fabric to improve this water repellency and add dimensional stability.  The fabric also has an anti-microbial component to prevent mildew growth on the fabric.

·  Solution Dyed Yarn

·  60" Wide

·  11.5 ounces per linear yard

·  Excellent dimensional stability and weight - to - strength ratio won't sag it is elastic and recovers after stretching of the fabric is removed

·  Remains flexible in all climates

·  Color will not rub off

·  Resistant to mildew anti-microbial finish

·  Very high UV fade resistance

·  A DWR finish that is a highly water repellent finish (Durable Water Repellent)

·  Won't crack, peel or harden

·  Easy clean up use a solution of 50% bleach and 50% water and it will not damage the color or the DWR water repellent finish

·  Light Urethane coating on the back of the fabric to aid in Water Repellency and Durability

Yet another Kia Compact Crossover Concept heading for Frankfurt 2013

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Yet another Kia Compact Crossover Concept (pictured) heading for Frankfurt We do seem to have had something of a run of concepts from Kia lately – particularly Compact SUV/Crossover Concepts – but none seem to be heading for production. Already in 2013 we’ve had the Kia Provo Concept, which looked like a suitably funky urban warrior to take on the market the Nissan Juke made its own, even if the ‘Provo’ name caused publicity-seeking politicians to spit and stomp. Following close on the heels of the Provo came the Kia CUB for the Seoul Motor Show (note the cuddly name – Kia didn’t want to shoot themselves in the foot again) which, although entirely convincing, just looked like yet another urban warrior compact crossover/SUV.

Is Stefan Sielaff about to jump ship from Audi to head BMW interior design?

Here at CDN we hear plenty of gossip, much of which ends up as hot air and hardly any of which we publish. But when the source of a potential story is as reliable as Georg Kacher – a giant (physically and metaphorically) of a journalist with uncannily strong connections to those within the Germany industry – there's good cause to pay attention. His 'predictions' rarely fail to materialize.

Suzuki X-Lander concept stars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Anyone out there remember the Smart Crossblade – a bizarre roofless version of the first generation Smart Fortwo with very little in the way of doors. Well, whatever the designers of that were taking, Suzuki’s been having a go on it, too. Meet the X-Lander hybrid concept.
