BMW launches mobile app for gaming, social media

BMW is launching a multipurpose mobile application called the "Ultimate Drive" for social-media users and gamers. The app helps users find the best roads to drive in more than 50 countries. It enables them to then rate those roads and comment about them via Facebook, e-mail or other GPS devices.

Two years after the Seat Altea hatchback was launched comes the extended XL version, which effectively becomes a mini-MPV thanks to a 187mm increase in length. Nissan upgrades the Versa engine to add mpg

The redesigned Versa sedan that reaches Nissan showrooms later this summer will post a 30 city/38 highway mpg rating, up from the current model's 28/34 rating. The Versa still has a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, but the 2012 model gets a dual-fuel injector system, the first U.S. application of the Nissan technology.
