This Lower Gearcase was removed from a 2000 Mercury 50 h.p .4 stroke Outboard. Pressure tested good and filled with new oil. The driveshaft is 20 in. long shaft. part # 1682-821306T24 please check part number for fitment. Splines are good and shafts are straight. Housings Clean. May work on other years and horsepowers.

Thu, 03 Nov 2011Peter Horbury, presently Vice President of Design at Volvo Car Corporation, is set to join a growing roster of design directors who have relocated to China – the most recent being Gert Hildebrandt who was appointed Design Director at Chery Quantum Auto Co. (a joint venture between Chery Automobile, China's largest independent car manufacturer, and Israel Corp.) earlier this year. Horbury, who will be taking up a new position as Senior Vice President of Design at Geely Group, will be based in Sanya, in the Hainan Province of China.

CDN announces second edition of Car Design Glossary

Designed to enable budding designers - and those wishing to describe the products of the designer's imagination - to decipher the language used in automotive studios, the Glossary was devised by David Browne, Course Director of Automotive Design at Coventry University School of Art & Design. He created the compilation of terms as an academic piece of research and collaborated with CDN to help generate feedback on these terms from designers themselves.
