Chrysler posts $212 million quarterly profit
Thu, 27 Oct 2011Chrysler Group on Thursday reported third quarter net income of $212 million, up from a net loss of $84 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 19 percent to $13.1 billion. The company ended the quarter with $9.5 billion in cash, down from $10.2 billion at the end of the second quarter.

Ford rolls out 2010 model line

But less flashy--and perhaps nearly as important--are more subtle improvements throughout its product portfolio, including nicer interiors and a fine-tuned version of Sync that could help the Blue Oval win customers and improve its image in the marketplace. The idea is to fortify its lineup with refinements "experienced immediately in a five-minute test drive," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president of global product development.
