SCCA legal piston/rod assemblies for 2.0 liter racecars. Sports 2000 and Formula Continental and other SOHC "Pinto" based racecars are what these are for, although the 10:1 flattop pistons could be used on the street w/o problem.
To be SCCA legal, no overbore is allowed, so these are std size pistons/rings. They are SCCA legal cast aluminum pistons. The connecting rods are reworked for competition as per SCCA rules. They've been checked, side beams polished, and ARP rod bolts installed. One piston shows some scratches on the skirt (see photo), otherwise these are in good used condition. These pistons & rods were replaced due to rule changes, and have plenty of life left in them. I've priced them to sell! |

Renault unveils R-Link tablet
Wed, 07 Dec 2011Renault is aiming to take its in-vehicle user interface modules to the next level with the new R-Link tablet system announced at LeWeb 2011 today, December 7. R-Link features a seven-inch tactile screen, steering wheel-mounted controls and voice recognition systems. It is simultaneously connected to the vehicle's information and data center, the user's mobile phone and to the Cloud. The company claims that the bespoke UI features interactive and intuitive menus, which enable users to access all the car's functions and data easily.
Toyota ends powertrain deal with Tesla
Wed, 14 May 2014To the surprise of no one, Toyota has announced the end of a partnership with Tesla that gave rise to the slow-selling RAV4 EV, which will be replaced by a fuel cell car next year. Toyota has said that it can't meet California's zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate profitably with electric cars, but it thinks it can make money, or at least not lose so much of it, with fuel cells. Toyota signed a $100 million joint development deal in 2011 with Tesla, to build powertrains for its RAV4 EV.
