High Country trim tops out 2014 Chevrolet Silverado lineup

Mon, 06 May 2013

The Chevrolet Silverado lineup has expanded for 2014, adding a High Country trim that tops out the pickup's lineup with a chrome exterior and premium engine option. Pricing hasn't been released, but the current Chevy Silverado tops out with the Z71 and LTZ trim, which can carry prices in the mid-$40,000 range. The High Country Silverado will be slotted above those trims, but below the 2014 GMC Sierra Denali, the top-of-the-line offering from Chevy's sister brand.

Scottish Car of the Year 2011: Big night for Jaguar Land Rover

Sat, 15 Oct 2011

Scottish Car of the Year 2011 Last night saw the awards dinner for the Scottish car of the Year at the Thistle in Glasgow, with Land Rover taking top honours and Jaguar walking away with three gongs (well, two gongs and the motoring equivalent of a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ trophy). The unstoppable Range Rover Evoque took the big prize, being voted the Scottish Car of the Year. Of course, it also won SUV of the year (it would have been a bit odd if it didn’t) and at this rate – and the great feedback from customers and media – Land Rover look like they’ll be mopping up a lot of gongs this next year.

Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (2011) first official pictures

Mon, 13 Dec 2010

This is the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, the 2011 version of the famed German sports car company’s range-topping GT racer. The 911 GT3 RSR’s 4.0-litre flat-six engine now produces 449bhp (five whole horses more than the 2010 version) thanks to ECU tweaks, a redesigned exhaust system and a modified air intake housing. Maximum engine revs are a stratospheric 9400rpm, of course it’s rear-wheel drive, and the gearbox is a six-speed sequential unit.
