Mercedes-Benz has revealed two additions to the SLS range with the Mercedes SLS AMG GT Coupe and Roadster with more power and cosmetic tweaks. It’s almost exactly a year since we had the last addition to the Mercedes SLS range when MB took the roof off the Gullwing to give us the SLS AMG Roadster. And now the range of SLS road cars is about to double with the addition of a more powerful SLS Coupe and Roadster in the guise of the new Mercedes SLS AMG GT.

Mazda has unveiled its new 6 saloon at the 2012 Moscow motor show – a nod to the significance of the Eastern European markets for the Japanese car maker. This third-generation Mazda 6 will be the second model in Mazda’s line-up to feature both its suite of innovative SkyActiv drivetrain and chassis technologies and the company’s ‘Kodo – Soul of Motion’ design language. That’s a clunky design title, but the new 6 is anything but - it’s a handsome looking car in our eyes, and takes its riffs from the Mazda Takeri concept first seen at the 2011 Tokyo motor show.

Orphan Car Show highlights long-gone classics

Marvelous as it is a setting for car shows, Riverside Park in Ypsilanti, Mich., does present a risk: The park is built in the floodplain of the Huron River. When organizers showed up to stage this year's Orphan Car Show--the nation's largest to feature cars built by companies that no longer do business in America--on June 6, they found the judging stand underwater. An impromptu “show” throughout nearby Depot Town and at the host Miller Motors Hudson/Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum wasn't quite the same thing.
