Wed, 31 Jul 2013Flavio Manzoni has explained the secrets behind the design of the LaFerrari hypercar in an interview with Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe. Ferrari's design chief, speaking at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, talks of how the LaFerrari was designed to manifest the future of Ferrari and mark a milestone in the design process. Presentations of four 1:1 scale models adorn the walls of the room kept exclusively for project LaFerrari, although there were five initial presentations – three from Ferrari and two from Pininfarina.

Thanks to a respective 15bhp power hike from their 3.4-litre straight-six engines, the GTS twins shave precious tenths of their 0-62mph time, with the Cayman arriving in 4.6sec (when specced with the PDK paddeshifter gearbox), and the Boxster in 4.7sec. The respective top speeds are 177mph and 174mph.
Jaguar Land Rover drops plans to close one of three England plants
Fri, 15 Oct 2010Jaguar Land Rover said Friday it no longer plans to close one of its three auto plants in England after reaching an agreement with trade unions. The automaker, which Ford Motor Co. sold to India's Tata Motors in 2008, said it would be significantly increasing the number of models in its range and creating thousands of jobs over the next decade.
