2001 JEEP WRANGLER TJ - 4.0L MOTOR - RUNS GOOD. This motor RUNS GOOD with GOOD POWER and may fit other years. It uses NO oil but has a lifter noise. I will GUARANTEE this MOTOR RUNS AS IS or your MONEY BACK for PURCHASE PRICE. I will honor this GUARANTEE for 30 days, enough time for it to be installed. I had it checked by a mechanic shop and was told it was a strong engine and that the lifter noise would not affect the performance of the engine. Most of the time the lifter noise would quiet as the engine was ran.
I had just bought my Jeep and planned on having the lifter noise corrected. I found a Brand NEW Crated motor from Jeep for a great price and decided to install it instead. I kept the original motor that I am selling now as a back-up because it ran good. The mileage is 125,000 miles on this motor. I am pricing this motor so reasonably because it will most likely just remain stored and unused by me. If I had not come across the new crated motor then the lifter noise in this motor would have been fixed. It will need a new dipstick because the plastic top of the dipstick is broken off.
