Jaguar tops the US JD Power Survey for luxury cars in 2009 This year’s J.D. Power survey in the UK saw Lexus winning out, but it’s a different story on the other side of the Pond, where Jaguar have come top of the crop for the Luxury Sector followed by Cadillac, with Lexus, Mercedes and Land Rover filling up the top five. So the Brits (well, Indians) have taken two of the top five slots in what is probably the most influential car ownership survey around.

The Jaguar C-X17 dominated the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and was, for many, the car of the show. Equally headline-grabbing was Jaguar’s confirmation the first car to use the new all-aluminium architecture beneath the C-X17 concept car will not be a crossover SUV, but a new Jaguar rival to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept (pictured) heading for Detroit The original VW Beetle was a perfect candidate for a Dune Buggy, and many old VWs were converted to blast across sand dunes around the world. VW had a bash at their own Dune Buggy back in 2000, but now, ahead of a reveal at the Detroit Auto Show next week, we have what looks like a buggy from VW that could actually be heading for production – the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept. VW has revealed a single image of their Beetle Dune Concept (above) that shows a jacked-up Beetle with big wheels and tyres, a ski rack on the back and a bit of cosmetic titivation.
