What does an Airbag Clockspring do? 
An Airbag Clockspring is an assembly that contains a spirally wound flat ribbon to allow the steering wheel to be turned while maintaining a constant electrical connection to the driver airbag, horn and other electrical steering wheel mounted controls.

Where is the Airbag Clockspring located? 
The Airbag Clockspring is mounted on the steering column and can be usually found under the steering wheel.

Will a malfunctioning Airbag Clockspring illuminate the check engine light or affect vehicle operation? 
A defective or failing Airbag Clockspring will not affect engine operation but will trigger the SRS light indicating a system fault and compromised vehicle safety.

What are the common causes of failure? 
Typically Airbag Clocksprings are replaced after the airbag has deployed due to an accident or for mechanical failure of the assembly body or ribbon.

How to determine if the Airbag Clockspring is malfunctioning? 
Unusual noise when turning the steering wheel in either direction, intermittent electrical connections to the steering wheel mounted controls or the SRS light illuminated on the dash are all indicators that the clockspring has malfunctioned. Testing should only be performed with an appropriate diagnostic tool to determine the cause of the problem. Removal should be done by a professional and only after the battery has been disconnected followed by a timed electrical system discharge.

• Ship To Locations.
  Our default shipping rates are for the 48 US states only via UPS Ground or USPS. We will and can ship for an extra charge to: Alaska , Hawaii , APO, FPO, Puerto Rico and all US Territories and will be sent via USPS Priority Mail. At an additional charge, we will also ship items World Wide International via USPS International Priority mail. Depending on which country you are in, you may need to contact us for a shipping quote before or after purchase to complete the sale. We usually ship within 1-2 business days of receiving cleared payment. Unless otherwise noted, Buyer pays shipping. 
  
• Freight Items.
  We will and can ship freight items. However, some of the larger or fragile parts, we do not ship outside of the 48 US states. For large items that must be shipped via Freight Truck (i.e. engines, transmissions, doors, trunks, hoods...etc), the delivery site must be a commercially zoned address capable of unloading a freight truck. Home businesses, churches, military bases, schools, and self storage units cannot be delivered to. We can also arrange for you to pick up your freight item at your local freight terminal. 
  
• Freight Quotes. 
  Please contact us before you bid  for an accurate shipping quote. If for some reason the shipping Freight charges are greatly under estimated, we reserve the right to ask the buyer for the correct additional funds or an alternate ship to address. 
  
• Shipping Deadlines. 
  We will process every order within 24hrs from cleared payment via PayPal Processing Center or upon Local Pick up and Full Payment at Counter. 
  Our business hours are from 9-5 M-F EST. Orders placed after 1:00pm EST cannot be guaranteed shipping that day. All Non-Freight items will be sent via USPS, Fed-Ex or UPS Ground unless given instruction otherwise. If you need 2nd day air or Next day air service please call us directly for best results. You may also add this service if it's available for the item during checkout, but we can only guarantee shipment of these orders if placed before 1:00 EST. All freight items will go out the same day if pulled and the order is placed before 10:00am PST. This is providing that we have full payment, shipping instructions and phone numbers to process the shipment in a timely fashion.

Payment

• We accept Pay Pal for most major credit/debit cards. For Pay Pal, please process payments through Ebay. 
• If you want to use a business or personal payment option, you can pay us through our merchant service account, or can call us directly at:

• All local pick ups are to be paid-in-full at the counter within 5 business days after sale, unless prior arrangements have been made. 
• By Law, we charge a 7% sales tax for items shipped within FLORIDA. Tax applies to the subtotal plus any shipping and handling in FLORIDA only. 

Warranty and Returns

• Most parts we sell through eBay Motors come with a 14 day return policy and a 30 warranty from defect unless otherwise stated. 
  No labor warranty is provided. In the event a part sold with a warranty fails to operate within the warranty period we will replace the part(s) with a functionally equivalent part or refund the part purchase price, at our option. No refund on deposits or unwanted special order parts or special "cut" items.
  To return an item you must contact us within the 14 day period to obtain a RMA number (Return Material Authorization). 
  Original shipping charges and return shipping charges are not refunded. Once you obtain an RMA number, ship the item back to:

• Parts Covered by Warranty – in case the part sold fails to work due to defective material or wrong fitment, we will replace the part or issue a full refund (our choice) up to the cost of the part purchased price (no refunds for labor costs), see warranty tab in the listing for more details.
  
  
• Items NOT Covered by Warranty - For parts that are not defective, but are returned, the following will apply: 
  20% Restocking Fee, shipping costs are not refunded, and customer pays for shipping the part back.
