Wed, 30 Oct 2013The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. Hands-free car phones 'should be banned'

This is the view of road safety charity Brake that says four in ten drivers (38%) admit to using hands-free phones in the car despite research that shows talking on a hands-free system is just as dangerous as using a hand-held mobile phone. Drivers who use a mobile phone while driving are four times more likely to be involved in a collision that causes serious or fatal injuries.
Rolls-Royce debuts Ghost Series II at Geneva motor show
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The Rolls-Royce Ghost has been with us for five years, and for 2015 the company has treated the sedan to a number of design tweaks inside and out, and has brought the refreshed Series II Ghost to the Geneva Motor Show this week. The changes to the outside are hard to spot at first, and Rolls-Royce readily admits that the revisions that have been made to the exterior are rather subtle. By far the most obvious visual difference, one that will help identify this as a Series II sedan, are the headlights which have been treated to a redesign, and are no longer perfectly rectangular.
