Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo

Ford is gearing up for a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mustang in 2014, and revealed a logo Tuesday to be used on fan merchandise. The anniversary logo uses the traditional galloping pony in silhouette, placed above the words “50 years.” Ford designer Michael Thompson is credited with creating the anniversary logo. The logo will either be white on a black background or black on white, Ford says.

THE REVOLUTIONARY BMW i3 electric car has been awarded the top prize in the first UK Car of the Year Awards. After grabbing the prize for Best Supermini the i3 won the overall title in the new awards, as voted for by a group of 27 respected UK-based motoring journalists. In the overall vote, which featured the likes of the Porsche Cayman, Range Rover Sport, BMW 5 Series, Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and Audi A3, almost half of the 27-strong judging panel chose the i3.

Mopar has parts menu ready for the Dodge Dart

Just minutes after the Dodge Dart made its debut at the Detroit auto show, Mopar started bolting on parts. Chrysler's parts arm already has 150 aftermarket items ready for the company's new small car, with more on the way. “By itself, our new Dodge Dart will stand out from the crowd,” said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand.
