One Lap of the Web: Christmas edition

-- Ferrari is getting into the Christmas spirit by... towing Santa's sleigh with one of their F138 race cars. Spoiler alert: We don't know what visual-effects house Ferrari used, but we have a feeling the sleigh was towed slightly slower than the velocity shown in the video.

Hyundai i20

Hyundai's second-generation i20, designed at Hyundai Motor's Design Center Europe in Rüsselsheim, Germany, is the first to feature the firm's new small-car platform. Hyundai claims this allows sufficient flexibility to make the (as-yet unrevealed) interior the most spacious in its class. As for the exterior, the distinction between what is a Kia and what's a Hyundai becomes ever-more blurred.

UPDATED: Aston Martin sold

After 20 years of ownership, Ford divested itself of the brand, its facilities and its products, in a deal valuing Aston at £479m.   The new owner is a consortium led by David Richards, boss of automotive consultancy Prodrive, who helped to unite two private investment companies from Kuwait. Adeem Investment, which already owns the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, has a portfolio worth $1.5 bn.
