Top Gear tonight: The Sweeney, Corsa VXR Nurburgring, Fiat Panda & Ryan Reynolds SIARPC
Sun, 12 Feb 2012Hammond directs Ray Winstone's car chase in The Sweeney Top Gear Series 18 Episode 3 with The Sweeney car chase, the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring, 2012 Fiat Panda and Ryan Reynolds is SIARPC. We’re already nearly halfway through Series 18 of Top Gear, with episode 3 on tonight. And so far, so good; the daftness is still there, but a lot less puerile than other recent Top Gear stuff, and some properly good car stuff too.
Fiat Panda Aria and Grande Punto Abarth SS concepts
Mon, 17 Sep 2007By Guy Bird Motor Shows 17 September 2007 02:50 Aria goes green, Abarth gets sporty, 500 goes large… Fiat’s signature white stand featured both ends of the car spectrum: From the eco Panda Aria concept to a new even sportier version of the Grande Punto, the Abarth SS prototype. It arguably had the best show stand gimmick at Frankfurt too – a giant Fiat 500 model the size of a two-storey building housing a monorail on which punters could ride life-size 500 cars around its innards – entered through the giant 500’s wheel arch. Anyway… what about this eco Panda thingy… Oh yes, the Fiat Aria ‘concept’ is subtle like that.
Porsche Cayenne gets more power
Wed, 20 Apr 2011Porsche Cayenne Turbo - Powerkit adds 40bhp A lack of power is not something you would normally complain about with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. After all, despite weighing roughly the same as a grouse moor (unlike the previous generation which weighed slightly more than a small moon), it’s 500bhp V8 moves this SUV to 60mph in a chunk less than 5 seconds. But power under the bonnet is addictive, and even if you have 500bhp under your right foot there will always be occasions when you wish you had just that bit more.
