Jaguar F-Type V8 S sprint test in Jabbeke – then off to Geneva 2013 in convoy + video

Jaguar has taken the new F-Type V8 S to Jabbeke for sprint testing then on to Geneva in convoy with XK 120, C-type, D-type and E-type sports cars. So Jaguar took the F-Type off to Jabbeke, Belgium – where Jaguar’s test driver Norman Dewis managed a world record flying mile speed of 172.4mph in an XK 120 60 years ago – and put Le Mans driver Andy Wallace in the driver’s seat to see how quickly the F-Type V8 S would go. Andy had just a two mile stretch of closed road to play with the F-Type and yet managed a 0-179-0 with a clocked time of 4.2 seconds to 62mph on the way.

The Crosswind II concept was one of three very competently resolved full-size models displayed on IAT's large stand at the Beijing motor show. A development of the Cross-Coupé model seen two years ago in Beijing. BMW recall 1.3 million 5 & 6 Series BMW is to recall 1.3 million 5 Series and 6 Series cars built between 2003 and 2010 to fix a battery cable cover. It’s been an expensive year for BMW on the recall front. January saw MINI recall 235,000 Cooper and JCW models to fix a faulty auxiliary water pump on the turbo, and now a massive 1.3 million BMW 5 Series and 6 Series cars are being recalled. The cars affected are the BMW 5 and 6 Series built between 2003 and 2010 where BMW has discovered a battery cable cover in the boot may have been mounted incorrectly.
