Subaru sold a whopping 41,061 cars in America during the month of August, which not only represents a 45 percent increase over August of last year, but also the best month of sales for the company, period. And it's not the relatively new Subaru BRZ that's leading the pack -- Subaru sold 15 times more Foresters than BRZs during the month of August. Acura reverses product plans

Acura is reversing course in North America as the brand suffers through the shift from high-performance luxury vehicles and the cancellation of its V8 and rear-wheel-drive programs. There is "a certain level of confusion" about Acura in the marketplace, Honda Motor Co. CEO Takanobu Ito told Automotive News at the Tokyo auto show.
