It's the Hyundai i40 Saloon for Europe As we reported last week – after Hyundai had, rather pointlessly, teased us with an image – the European version of the Hyundai i40 saloon is about to launch at the Barcelona Motor Show. So we have details, although much of what we have is what we already know from the Hyundai i40 Estate. What we do know is that the European  i40 – whatever guise it comes in – seems a fine car and a real threat to the sector domination by the Ford Mondeo and VW Passat.

Peugeot 308 R Concept: Peugeot’s hot 308 leaks ahead of Frankfurt

The Peugeot 308 R Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt The new Peugeot 308 only got an airing back in May, and it won’t get it’s official public debut until the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. But Peugeot are already planning a hot version. The first photos of the Peugeot 308 R have surfaced this morning on Autowp and show an aggressive 308 with a very distinctive two-tone paint job.

Latest Saab production halt raises concern

News today that Saab has halted production again, owing to problems paying suppliers, has raised further questions over the long-term financial viability of the independent car maker. Saab says it continues to negotiate with its local suppliers to ensure a supply of parts, but has declined to mention when production may resume. Didn't Saab have supplier issues last week?
