35th Anniversary Edition 2002 Mercury Cougar. 5 speed manual, runs well and fun to drive. 129,570 miles, V6 engine. Leather seats with black and gray interior. Brand new battery, 4 new tires at the beginning of the the summer. Third owner of the car, Only issue is the alternator does not charge the battery very fast, so the battery can run down on long drives (over 4-5 hours) when using headlights, AC and radio for an extended period. If you were at the debut of the 2013 Range Rover and new Jaguar F-Type in Paris last month you may well have seen Jaguar Land Rover’s new Virtual Showroom on display, and it looks like JLR have big plans for their new high-tech way of exploring new cars. JLR’s Virtual Experience allows customers to interact with an almost life-size digital wall image of their chosen car, not just looking but interacting too.

Update: Vettel has been relegated to the back of the grid for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as he didn’t have enough fuel in his car for a fuel sample to be taken. Which changes the whole dynamic of tomorrow’s race – and the championship.

Replacing the current Bluemotion model, the Mk2 Bluemotion is powered by a 110bhp 2.0-litre common rail diesel that’s been recalibrated with a lower idle rate and fitted with a switchable start/stop system to cut emissions and boost economy. When it arrives here in January, the Passat will post a combined economy figure of 57.6mpg and a CO2 rating of 128 g/km - useful savings compared to the outgoing 1.9-litre 105bhp BlueMotion model (55.4mpg and 136 g/km).
