Still, the unveil of the ‘new’ sawn-off variant was one of the few Detroit surprises not known about beforehand, and offers an enticing glimpse of how the LF-A franchise could develop. Beyond the lack of a roof, the basic body shape is the same as the now-familiar LF-A coupe first unveiled at the 2005 Detroit show.

Fri, 05 Sep 2014Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. Volvo reveals C30 BEV electric car

The electric Volvo C30 BEV wasn’t at Frankfurt, and the Swedes announced the zero-emissions runaround today – along with details of a 92-mile range, 80mph top speed and 0-62mph sprint of less than 11 seconds. The BEV stands for Battery Electric Vehicle and Volvo’s new plug-in hybrid could be introduced to the C30 range by 2012, bosses say.
