See the sinkhole at the Corvette MuseumMon, 14 Apr 2014Normally, the Corvette Bash at the National Corvette Museum every April is a chance for fiberglass fans to celebrate the Corvette's next model year; indeed, attendees of the weekend of April 26-28 will get to check out the 2015 Corvette Stingray, an opportunity that we highly recommend. Attendees can tour the Barton 1792 Distillery and play golf with Kirk Bennion. Wilmer Cooksey Jr. Lotus Elise Club Racer released for U.K.Fri, 18 Feb 2011Lotus will release a stripped-down version of the Elise, called the 1.6 Lotus Elise Club Racer. However, it will be available only in the United Kingdom. The already scant two-seater loses another 54 pounds with measures such as the use of a lightweight battery, the deletion of sound-deadening material and the removal of the radio speakers. Volvo S60 DRIVe & V60 DRIVe launchTue, 22 Feb 2011The Volvo V60 DRIVe This week we’re out playing with a Volvo DRIVe model, although our car is the S40 DRIVe. DRIVe models are Volvo’s push at all things green (or all things blue if you’re German) and take a regular Volvo and eco the bejesus out of it with stuff like stop-start, low rolling resistance tyres and the plethora of eco-toys car makers use to make the headline economy and emissions unbelievable. The result is a Volvo that drives pretty much the same as any Volvo but which can – as long as you play the eco-driving game – run almost on fresh air, and because cars like this are designed to hit emissions targets on official cycles, they’re also good on stuff like VED and BIK. And if the S40 DRIVe we’ve got this week is anything to go by, you can still drive with enthusiasm and enjoy it as long as you don’t mind the economy suffering. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024.
