Hyundai celebrates 10 years of 5 Year Warranty – & we get Mint Imperials
Thu, 06 Sep 2012Hyundai are celebrating a decade of their 5 year warranty in the UK, a warranty deal that has forced other car makers’ warranties to improve. Before Hyundai became a real mainstream force in the car market they launched a five year warranty on their cars as an unbeatable sign of faith in their product. Volkswagen plans return of Microbus
Wed, 14 May 2014An expanded lineup of Beetle-themed cars are in Volkswagen's future, including a Microbus model that we have seen in various concept forms over the past decade, according to Auto Express. When Volkswagen renews the Beetle in 2019, it will also debut a crossover, coupe and a mini-MPV, all based on the MQB architecture that underpins the new Golf. Even though plans of an MPV rebirth date back to the introduction of a number of concepts in the early 2000s, Volkswagen hadn't pulled the trigger on putting an homage to the Bus (known as the Kombi in most of the world, or Camper in the U.K.) intro production for a number of reasons.
Fewer people commuting but distances on the up
Mon, 31 Mar 2014The average commute has increased in distance, but more people working from home means there are actually fewer cars on the road at rush hour today compared to 10 years ago, according to statistics from the most recent Census conducted in 2011. Figures show the average commute has increased from 8.3 miles in 2001 to 9.32 miles in 2011. People living in the east of England travelled the furthest to work at an average distance of 10.34 miles – while those in London had the shortest commutes averaging 6.83 miles.
