Volvo: Geneva Motor Show 2013

Volvo has facelift versions of the S80, V70 XC70, S60, V60 and XC60 plus Cyclist Detection, new Auto High Beam and a tie-up with Spotify at Geneva. That’s down to Volvo’s decision to give almost their whole range a facelift (with the exception of the too new to facelift V40 and the soon to be replaced XC90) to keep their cars fresh-looking until they’re replaced. The comprehensive range makeover means a new Volvo face – inspired by Volvo’s Concept You – with a wider-looking nose, new bumpers, tweaks to the emissions and economy and new options on the S80, S60 and V60.

Volkswagen Polo 2014 update announced ahead of Geneva Motor Show

Fresh off the back of news that Volkswagen will show a hot new Polo R concept at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, the German firm has announced that its regular Polo supermini will receive a host of updates. The Polo’s mid-life 2014 facelift features some delicately revised styling inside and out, as well as a new range of more efficient engines and even more technology packed inside the smart little cabin. Few cars perform well in new insurance group crash test

The insurance industry has unveiled a new, tough frontal-crash test. The first batch of 11 luxury and near-luxury cars put to the test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety didn't fare so well--only three were rated as good or acceptable. The test rams the front corner of a car into a fixed barrier at 40 mph.
