According to reports in the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail, the new surveillance system costs as little as £16,000, and is able to record and recognise the number plates of illegally parked cars outside schools. It’ll be shown on 2 March 2010 at the Geneva motor show in Switzerland, but we’ll have to wait until then to learn anything of substance about the new Megane convertible. It’ll stick with a folding hard top, but this shadowy teaser shot annoys as much as any restricted pre-publicity hype-up: we can’t really see much at all.
