Icon founder Jonathan Ward on his latest 'Derelicts' project [w/video]

Bespoke car restoration company, Icon, along with its founder and lead designer, Jonathan Ward, are the subject of eGarages's latest short film, Derelict. The documentary focuses on its namesake, a 1952 Chevy Coupe, built as part of Icon's ‘Derelict' project. The car is updated with modern mechanicals but with an aesthetic that bears the scars of its 60 years.

CDN-GM Interactive Competition: Phase 2 deadline extended until Sunday 28 September

Due to the number and quality of the entries that are still pouring in we've extended the deadline for this phase of the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition to give you a couple more days to upload your work. Remember that during this phase, while your design needn't be fully finalized, you should be firming up your major themes based on your Phase 1 work and the feedback comments from the Mentors and your peers. The entrants progressing to Phase 3 will be announced next week for the final phase of this year's contest ahead of the announcement of the winners in January.

Fifth Gear tonight sees Vicki in the Skoda Fabia vRS, Tiff testing best small cars, Jason with the BMW M6 and Jonny on DIY car servicing. Vicki Butler-Henderson is off for a performance motoring triathlon in the company of Norwegian rally star Andreas Mikkelsen, with fun in a pair of single-seat race cars, a race against the clock in a 200bhp off-road buggy and a proper play and test of the appealing Skoda Fabia vRS (you can see a clip of the Fabia vRS test in the video below).
