  • High-silicon content Hypereutectic cast aluminum material for less heat expansion, tighter clearances, increased hardness, longer life and reduced scuffing.
  • Features machined, smooth piston crowns for reduced carbon buildup, increased horsepower and fuel economy.
  • Hard anodized crowns are 75% stronger than non-anodized, providing minimal expansion and reducing the chance of cold seizures when combined with Teflon/Molybdenum coated skirts.

Just 175 Volvo V60 Polestars (pictured) coming to the UK We did expect, when the Volvo V60 Polestar was made official in November last year, that it would be a regular production model. But instead it’s going to be a limited edition special. That probably makes sense with Volvo busy updating their entire range, but it does mean there will be just 750 cars built, of which 175 are earmarked for the UK – the biggest allocation of any market.

BMW Vision ConnectedDrive We reported the other day that BMW were taking a roadster concept to the Geneva Motor Show, a car we expected to point the way to a new, smaller roadster – the BMW Z2. But it seems to be much more than just that. The BMW Vision ConnectedDrive – for that is the catchy little moniker BMW has attached to this concept – is a showcase for BMW technology and the layered styling language we’ve already seen in the Vision EfficientDynamics concept (can’t we have some snappy little monikers instead of Anglicising the German practice of just joining words together in a line to make a new word?).
