Acura teases new car headed for New York auto show
Mon, 16 Mar 2009Our friends at Acura are bringing a new car to the New York auto show next month. On Monday, they gave us a little tease--an overhead view of the car, albeit with many details hidden. Mini takes to the field for London 2012
Mon, 06 Aug 2012Although there’s no motorsport in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mini will be making an appearance during the track and field events in the Olympic stadium. A fleet of three remote-controlled, quarter-scale Mini Cooper JCWs are charged with retrieving javelins, discus, shot and hammer, and will cover around 6000 metres per day while on duty. Each ‘mini Mini’ has a potential payload of 8kg, and will be operated by specially-trained ‘Games Makers’.

Its bodywork also appears to be layered over the underlying carbon structure that appears around the nose, rear and door panel, which hint at the diagonal bar that ran through the F1's doors, although here it dives downwards rather than creating a wedge.
