To be honest, the cars look little better in the metal. Aiming to draw inspiration from the iconic boxiness of the legendary G-Wagon and the more car-inspired sculptural curves of the huge GL-class, the resulting melange does no credit to either.

RS and Dusk sedan join Chevy's Sonic lineup

The Chevy Sonic RS sedan and the Sonic Dusk sedan will join the bow tie's lineup of small city commuter cars next spring. Both start at just more than $20,000. The Sonic RS sedan will take the styling cues of the RS hatchback, including the deep air dam in the front fascia, aluminum sport pedals, flat-bottom steering wheel and leather seats with red accents.

Funding row erupts over road repairs

COUNCILS hit by the recent extreme weather are calling for extra funding from central Government to help meet the multi-million pound roads repair bill. The Local Government Association (LGA) wants the Department for Transport to create a highways maintenance emergency fund following the recent spate of heavy rain and flooding. But the Government said councils have been allocated their funding and should have created contingency funds themselves.
