This carburetor came out of a 2003 Yamaha YZ250F.  This bike was running one day before this auction was listed and it performed great.  This bike always started on the first kick.  This bike usually started on the first kick without choke.  The choke did work, but I had a tough time getting it to stay out.  Usually I had to hold the choke out by hand while I kicked the bike over, if it was needed.  This carburetor has a broken piece shown in picture #7.  I did not notice any issue with this bikes performance with the broken piece.  It is just below on of the slow speed jets.  I'm guessing one of the previous owners used a screw driver that was not small enough in the tube leading to the jet which broke.  The jet still seats properly, just the metal tube to get to the jet is missing.  Still works fine.  These two issues are why the price is lower that similar carbs, but it still works properly.  This carburetor is clean and runs, but I always suggest used carbs be cleaned by the new owner prior to the installing.  Checkout the pictures to see the condition.   This item might fit other years or models, do your research.

AW Design Forum: Nissan design boss challenges cookie-cutter design

Thu, 14 Jan 2010

Using provocative words such as “guilty” and “fearful,” Nissan Design America chief Bruce Campbell was blunt in his assessment of the current state of car styling: There's too much sameness. Speaking at the AW Design Forum on Thursday morning in Detroit, Campbell pulled no punches, pointing to the bad economy, global design--and fear--as reasons for blandness in sheetmetal. “We are guilty of this sameness.

The Porsche 911: the car that shouldn’t work but does

Fri, 17 Jun 2011

Humanity might struggle perpetually with questions like the meaning of life, but it does know one thing for sure: rear engine cars are bad. Like a sling shot, the heavy engine at the back is always trying to overtake the driver in front. Anyone can understand that.Yet the Porsche 911 - one of the fastest cars on the market, and one of the most enduring in history - has its engine at the back.
