Mon, 02 Apr 2012CarBuzz has put together an infographic cataloging the new cars unveiled at this year's Geneva motor show by color. The show, which took place last month, saw the unveiling of a host of production and concept cars and CarBuzz has taken the time to provide a clear indication of the color trends that featured in this year's event. The infographic indicates that the colors currently on trend are silver and white, while blue and red were the color of choice for a generous share of the unveiled models.
1961 Jaguar E-Type ‘Barn Find’ sells for £110k
Fri, 03 May 2013Rarity is all in the classic car world, which is one of the reasons why the early, pre-Fiat Ferraris command huge prices (there were only 33 Series 1 Ferrari 250 GTOs built and you would now have to pay north of $40 million for one) and why the E-Type – glorious and desirable though it is – commands a fraction of that. In fact, you can pick up a very decent E-Type in good condition for as little as £50k, and even E-Types that have been fully restored and with low mileage don’t often break the £100k barrier. So why has this tatty 1961 flat-floor E-Type sold for £119,020 at Bonhams auction at the RAF Museum in Hendon?
Mercedes C-class AMG DTM (2012) at Frankfurt motor show
Fri, 16 Sep 2011Mercedes’ F125 concept might preview a hydrogen future for the automobile, but alongside this tech-laden show car Benz boss Dr Zetsche (with a little help from Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg) also unveiled a hardcore race car. It’s the Mercedes C-class Coupe AMG DTM, which will compete in next season’s Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters – think touring car, only with 4.0-litre V8s and rear-wheel drive chassis. Is the Mercedes C-class Coupe AMG DTM a C63 AMG Coupe under the skin?
